COVID-19 UPDATES 

Stage III. - Phase 2.  Private Ice Rentals, Prepaid Freestyle and Stick Time sessions, Learn to Skate/Play Classes – Sept 8-TBD 

General Guidelines:

  • CDC Social Distancing protocols should be observed by coaches, skaters, parents and spectators. Patrons of different households must maintain 6 feet of distance when feasible.
  • No persons displaying symptoms of cough, flu, or fever may enter the facility. Individuals who have possibly been exposed to someone who is sick should stay at home.
  • Due to the updated Central District Health public health order that took effect in the City of Boise on August 11th, all Idaho IceWorld users will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth when inside the facility, with the exception of when they are actively engaged in athletic competition, training, or practice within the confines of the ice surface. Coaches or instructors are required to wear a mask while on the ice at all times. In addition, coaches, instructors and participants not within the confines of the playing surface shall be required to wear a mask.
  • Because of the current limit on group size, no spectators will be allowed to remain in the building during classes.  Parents can enter to assist in lacing skates, etc. but must leave when their child is dressed.
  • Arrive no more than 15 minutes before your ice session and exit no more than 15 minutes after your session ends.
  • No warm-ups or dry land training in the facility.
  • Come dressed to skate. Locker rooms will not be available.
  • Player benches will be off limits to skaters.
  • Main rink bleachers will be closed to spectators. 

Other considerations:

  • No outside food or drink (water bottles are allowed). Skaters must provide their own water bottles. 1 water fountain with bottle filler will be available for use.
  • Coin operated lockers will be unavailable for use.
  • No proshop sales or services will be available at this time.
  • No food or beverage services will be available at this time.
  • Vending machines will not be available for use.
  • The arcade will not be available for play.
  • Limited seating in the Food Court.
  • Meetings with Staff are by appointment only. 

Private Ice Users:

  • Contact us via email FIRST about ice availability before submitting the Health and Safety Plan of Action. Staff needs to verify ice availability before proceeding.
  • Require Health and Safety Plan of Action be submitted by user group. Visit webpage for form and more information regarding private rentals.
  • No more than 30 skaters per ice session including coaches.
  • Idaho IceWorld provided equipment, other than nets, will not be available for use.
  • For Hockey rentals full face shields are highly recommended but not required.

Learn to Skate/Learn to Play classes:

  • Procedures
  • Classes open to levels Basic 2 – 6, All Free Skate Levels and all Adult and Teen classes.
  • Learn to Skate Class size limited to 4 participants. Limit of 6 classes on the ice at one time.
  • Hockey Classes limited to 24 skaters on the ice at one time. 
  • Because of the current limit on group size, no spectators will be allowed to remain in the building during classes.  Parents can enter to assist in lacing skates, etc. but must leave when their child is dressed.

Youth and Adult Hockey Leagues/Tournaments:

  • Not available at this time. 

Freestyle Sessions:

  • Procedures
  • Sessions must be prepaid. No drop-in admissions available.
  • Sessions limited to 20 skaters per session including coaches.
  • Jump Harness will not be available for use.
  • Because of the current limit on group size, no spectators will be allowed to remain in the building during classes.  Parents can enter to assist in lacing skates, etc. but must leave when their child is dressed.
  • Due to the updated Central District Health public health order that took effect in the City of Boise on August 11th, all Idaho IceWorld users will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth when inside the facility, with the exception of when they are actively engaged in athletic competition, training, or practice within the confines of the ice surface.
