LEARN TO SKATE
Annually recognized by U.S. Figure Skating as a Top 10 program in the country, Idaho IceWorld’s Learn to Skate program provides a fun and structured way for skaters to be physically active and improve their skills. Participation in the program enables beginning skaters to learn basic skating skills for recreational enjoyment. On behalf of the Idaho IceWorld Skating School, thank you for your interest in the Learn to Skate USA program.
The objectives of the program are to:
-
Teach children and adults the fundamentals of ice skating while building confidence and skills through each lesson.
-
Provide a progressive curriculum that ensures success from the first steps on the ice to the mastery of advanced skills.
-
Promote the health and fitness benefits of ice skating.
-
Equip each participant with the foundation necessary to reach his or her goal, be it recreational or competitive in nature.
The Learn to Skate USA program offers several levels of advancement. This ensures individual skaters will be paired with other skaters of similar age and abilities. The program offers classes skaters ages 2 & up. Certificates and achievement badges are awarded as skaters progress through the levels.
