HOCKEY PROGRAMMING UPDATE

Thank you for your patience as we’ve continued to work toward a safe return to programming, including league play at IceWorld. We are happy to announce that on October 5 we will begin taking registration for youth hockey leagues. Registration will end October 16 with youth leagues beginning the first week of November.

Adult Hockey league registration will begin November 2 and end November 13 with Adult League play beginning December 6.

Due to health and safety guidelines we encourage online and phone registrations where possible.  All in-person registrations will be done by appointment only.  Our youth programs are available for online registration at https://web2.vermontsystems.com/wbwsc/idboisewt.wsc/splash.html. Further instructions for Adult League packet drop-off will be provided on our website closer to these dates.

Space is limited and please keep in mind that these dates could change based on the city and county’s current stage of reopening or other guidance from state and local health officials. We will make every effort to communicate with you if anything changes.

In regard to leagues and programming, Idaho IceWorld has implemented health and safety protocols throughout the facility due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its continued spread in our community and as such there are things you will need to consider before registering for one of our leagues.

  • Idaho IceWorld users will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth when inside the facility, with the exception of when they are actively engaged in athletic competition, training, or practice within the confines of the ice surface. Coaches or instructors are required to wear a mask while on the ice at all times. In addition, coaches, instructors and participants not within the confines of the playing surface shall be required to wear a mask.
  • Player bench usage will be limited in order to maintain social distancing.
  • Locker rooms will most likely not be available.  Out of respect for all users, all skaters should plan to arrive dressed and ready to play before coming inside the main doors, as well as remain fully dressed while within the facility.
  • Until group size limitations are updated, spectators will not be allowed within the facility.
  • Games WILL be played the week of both Boise Schools and West Ada schools Spring Break.

We will continue to communicate with you as additional in-depth details regarding programming become available. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we do all we can to keep employees and participants at our facility safe.
